DP eligibility Criteria

A candidate must be either:
  1. citizen of India,or
  2. a subject of Nepal, or
  3. a subject of Bhutan, or
  4. a Tibetan refugee who came over to India, before the IstJanuary, 1962 with theintention of permanently settling in India, or
  5. a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka,East African Countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (Formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia andVietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India.

Provided that a candidate belonging to categories (b), (c), (d) and (e) above shall be aperson in whose favour a certificate of eligibility has been issued by the Government of India.

A candidate in whose case a certificate of eligibility is necessary may be admitted to theExamination but the offer of appointment will be given only after the necessary eligibilitycertificate has been issued to him by theGovernment of India.

DP Age details

Minimum age is 18 years to 21 years. Age relaxation provided to reserved categories as per the Government.

  • For male candidates belonging to Hill areas of Garhwal, Kumaon, Himachal Pradesh, Gorkhas, Dogras, Kashmir Valley, Leh & Ladakh regions of J&K, North-Eastern States and Sikkim: 165 cms.
  • For all male candidates belonging to ST: 162.5 cms
  • For All male candidates: 80 cms. (expansion chest of 05 cms is necessary)
  • For male candidates belonging to Hill areas of Garhwal, Kumaon, Himachal Pradesh, Gorkhas, Dogras, Kashmir Valley, Leh & Ladakh regions of J&K, North-Eastern States and Sikkim: 80 cms. (expansion chest of 05 cms is necessary)

Medical Test

  • Eye sight should be 6/6 and 6/9 without wearing specs or lenses and no color blindness
  • Candidates should not have knock knee, flat foot, varicose vein or squint in eyes.
  • Should be free from any Physical defects.

  • Total Duration: 90 Mins.
  • Total Marks: 100 (01 Marks/Each Question)
